As a Greek of origin, I will explain how I manage to find Greek food in Luxembourg and continue to eat there like being in Greece. Even it is impossible to bring the Greek sun and sea in Luxembourg, there is no need to change your eating habits when living abroad. Today I give you my shop adresses for greek food and greek restaurants in Luxembourg.
Buying greek food products
First of all, you can buy some greek food products that come from Greece such as feta cheese, yogurt, olive oil in several big supermarkets. You can also find greek food at “Au Gourmet Grec” at 87 rue de Bonnevoie near Gare Centrale as well as “The Ambrosia” at 10 Rue Notre-Dame in the city centre.
European Union employees may also visit the shop below the main building of the European Parliament in Kirchberg, where there are products from each EU country and from Greece.
Furthermore, it is possible to find Greek honey, olive oil and olives in local markets (e.g. Glacismaart, which is a large market that takes place every 3rd Sunday of the month in Glacis parking place).
Finally, you can taste Greek and Cypriot delicacies and meet producers at these countries’ stands in the Bazar International that takes place in November every year at LuxExpo.
Eating in greek restaurants
Luxembourg is known for its plethora of restaurants from around the world which every newcomer ought to explore. There are a few Greek restaurants in the City of Luxembourg.
The best of greek restaurant in Luxembourg is Restaurant Grec Athena, at 56 Rue Adolphe Fischer near Place de Paris. Athena ranks #3 of 611 Restaurants in Luxembourg City and has received a Certificate of Excellence by TripAdvisor.

What about cooking greek food ?
It is world recognised that the Mediterranean diet has huge benefits to health. Inevitably, the Greek cuisine is among the first choices of good eaters worldwide, including Luxembourg.
There are several websites where you can find recipes to cook Greek food. Since February 2016, I am working to make www.cookme.tips a reference website for simple and healthy meals that one can prepare at home and the majority of which constitute the modern Greek cuisine.
