Traditional and recurrent events for Poland in Luxembourg :

  • Festival of Polish Culture: did you know that Poland is considered to be one of the world leaders in producing Comics? Thanks to the Festival of the Polish culture you can discover more about the Polish culture!
  • May 3: Proclamation of the Polish Constitution of May 3, 1791
  • 11 November: Anniversary of Poland’s independence in 1918
  • International Bazaar, with food specialties such as « bigos », « pierogis » or polish cakes. A tombola is also proposed.

Since its foundation Polska.lu a.s.b.l has become an integral part of the Polish society in the Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg. Its aim is to integrate the Polish emigrants and to spread Polish culture through organizing social and cultural events like the Festival of Polish Culture in Luxembourg and many more.
Also the association is the frame of reference for all those, who are considering moving to Luxembourg or have just arrived! On their website you can find various types of important information about the country and its laws, services, news, Polish events and initiatives, classified advertisements and of course counselling. There is the possibility to participate in discussion board as well, where you can exchange experiences and get support.


The aim of Polki.lu is to bring Polish immigrant community together and consolidate their relations with the residents of Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg. In their approach they are addressing mostly Polish women via the internet portal www.polki.lu and Facebook page Polki.lu. The association attaches great value to organizing meetings for socializing purposes and cultural events that currently take place at the restaurant Nova Osada but not exclusively. They have just started their activity but they certainly have the intention to grow and reach a greater audience.

Association culturelle polonaise

The association founded in 1997 organises many cultural events such as theater plays, exhibitions, literary, artistic, scientific or academic meetings, as well as the celebration on May 3 of the Polish National Day. The « Koledy »evenings in January are well-known among Polish people in Luxembourg to sing traditional Christmas carols.

Polish section at the European School

Polish children living in Luxembourg can be enrolled in the polish section of the European School in Kircheberg.
