I come from France and have been living in Luxembourg for now 4 years. I am loving it !
Luxembourg is so welcoming that I hope I will spend a few more years here. We lived in London and Paris before, and I have to say Luxembourg is quite a nice break. It will be the country where my children grow up before living home (next September, 2 of them will go to Univerity). It is also the country where I have found my true purpose in life.
What studies did you do and what is your main activity?
I studied Anglo-Saxon Literature at La Sorbonne, then Coaching and neuro linguistic programming (N.L.P) in Paris. I now give cooking lessons and prepare a program “21 days to change in your kitchen” for September. I also enjoy very much combining french teaching with cooking classes.
How long have you been in Luxembourg?
4 years, since 2013.
Which reason took you to Luxembourg?
My husband had to open an office in Luxembourg.
Tell us few things that have surprised you when first arrived?
The quietness was quite disturbing at first after London or Paris. And the fact that the shops close so early!!
Can you give me 3 adjectives to describe your life in the Grand Duchy?
Calm, entrepreneurial, outdoorsy.
What aspect of Luxembourg would you miss if you had to leave tomorrow?
Tell us what is your preferred district in Luxembourg and why?
Limpertsberg because of the lovely houses.
Do you go often out to eat and if yes what is your favourite type of cuisine?
There are plenty of nice restaurants here. Simple and delicious burgers at Café Belair.
Can you give me one word in your language which is impossible to translate into other languages?
For which reason have you decided to join the JUST ARRIVED Ambassadors club?
I feel I can help any French people arriving in Luxembourg who might need some advices to get settled. I have been helped when I arrived, and I want to do the same for the others!
